Good news for older adults: President Obama is working to strengthen and secure Social Security so the program will serve retirees better now, and in the future. His budget request for 2010 includes key Social Security proposals, beginning with $11.6 billion for the Social Security Administration, a 10 percent increase over the 2009 level of $10.5 billion.
