I was the primary caregiver for my aunt a couple of years ago. She was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It was just too much for me to handle on my own. It was a difficult decision, but I had to start seeking out senior care facilities that specialized in Alzheimer’s care, and the amount of care she received was wonderful. My aunt passed about a year ago, but I still to this day believe that I would not have been able to care for her the way she needed at that time in her life and so I know I made the right decision.
