If you think you may be a victim of housing discrimination, because of your age or a disability, there are resources you can use to get help.
Watchdogs Against Housing Discrimination
The National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA) is a membership organization that claims to represent virtually all of the private, non-profit fair housing education and enforcement agencies in the United States. NFHA promotes equal housing, lending and insurance opportunities through education, enforcement, training and advocacy. According to the organizations Web site, NFHA members assisted victims or brought lawsuits in more than 16,500 housing discrimination complaints in 2001. NFHA calls itself one of the nation's most effective fair housing watchdogs.
