Favorite Place to Exercise
- I like to go to the local gym as it forces me to work out harder than I would at home. They also have Yoga and Pilates which I can take. I am also taking a Zumba class at our local senior center and I am at the end of a core conditioning class which has really been a challenge but I still kept up with people half my age.

Hooping for fitness
- My husband and I (both Boomers) have discovered hula hooping, and we love it. It's a fun way to exercise, it's not expensive, and you can do it anywhere. I also ride a bike and walk in the park, but I can do hooping in short intervals at home throughout the day. I highly recommend hooping for fitness!

runner
- I too like to run outside, and do not like gyms. I live in a small town, so can get out into the country, hear the birds sing and frogs croak in Spring.

exercise in a park
- I think this is very good. I am living in NYC with my daughter, in her neighborhood there is a playground fenced in and everyone uses it . Older persons meet and stretch, walk, often. I myself like a forest, floral area with the feet of mother nature not cemented in. But whereever you meet to exercise, the purpose is to be active.

Exercise Curmudgeon
- My favorite place to exercise is outdoors, doing something like hiking or snowshoeing, where the exercise is incidental to the fun. But that's not a practical approach to regular exercise, so my vote for the best place to practice a daily exercise regimen is still the gym. I've tried home exercise machines, and I find it harder to overcome the mental barriers and make the time to climb up on that machine in the basement. If I go to the gym, I'm there for one reason and I can get down to business, and I have a choice of different machines for aerobics and a full set of weight-training options. Sure, I get a few amused looks from the young bucks in their spandex and designer jerseys, but I just remind myself that I was pounding the boards and pumping iron before some of them were born. And chances are I'll still be going strong after they've given up, staked out a permanent spot on the couch and turned to blubber.

favorite place to exercise
- I go to a local park to walk and play on the gym equipment. During the day the kids are usually in school, but even if they're there they don't seem to mind. We've had some very interesting conversations...kids are fun and their energy is contagious.
